Vanilla Cupcake Recipe

Vanilla cupcakes are always a hit and this is the best vanilla cupcake recipe I've found so far! Great for any occasion!


1 stick(1/2 cup) butter, room temperature
2/3 cup white sugar
3 eggs
1 1/4 tsp. vanilla

1 1/2 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 cup milk

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line 12 muffin cups with liners.

Cream together the butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each one. Beat in vanilla.

In another bowl - combine flour, baking powder, and salt.

With an electric mixer on low, alternately add the flour mixture and milk in three additions, beginning with the flour.

Spoon batter evenly into muffin tins. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until light brown and toothpick comes out clean. Cool in pan for about 10 minutes then move to wire rack to cool completely before frosting.

Frost with your favorite frosting. I enjoy a buttercream frosting with vanilla cupcakes!
