Tropical Luau Cake

This cake was for a 50th birthday. The invitations said "Bring your best flip flops for dancing", so I had to put flip flops on it =) The 10" round is hawaiian punch cake with hawaiian punch flavored buttercream, the 8" round is banana cake with banana cream filling, and the 6" round is coconut cake with pineapple cream filling.

The 10" tier is buttercream with fondant "grass" to look like a grass skirt. 50, flowers and flip flops are all fondant. Cookies around top tier, and brown sugar on top to look like sand.
