Tea Party Bridal Shower Cake

I baked a 9" round cake and covered it in white fondant.

Next I used a trimming toll and cut a pink circle out of fondant as the table cloth. Next I used gum paste to mold a teapot, tea cup, saucer and butterflies.

I used wire to suspend a butterfly in the air. I made all of the flowers out of gumpaste and set them inside of the tea pot.

I used royal icing to pipe dots around the tea cup, saucer and teapot lid. Once dried, I added edible gold dust to each dot. I used food coloring and a paint brush to paint each flower on the teapot and tea cup.

I used a a trimming toll to cut a square of fondant and then I folded it like a napkin and set it on top of the cake. I also cut out a flower shape in the napkin to add a little elegance.

To finish the cake I piped white balls out of butter cream at the base of the 9" round.
