Peacock Wedding Cake
This three layer wedding cake was made with a bottom layer of chocolate/mocha cake, the second layer a white french vanilla cake, and the top cake a Red Velvet (the brides favorite). All cakes were baked from scratch then thinly coated in rich buttercream and wrapped in vanilla fondant. We then used real peacock feathers to keep in theme with the brides wedding plan. A 2" copper colored ribbon was wrapped on the two layers with feathers to complete the colorful trimming. Copper colored fondant medallions were created and used to decorate the center layer of the cake. The bride has a sense of humor and provided the humorous topper.
