The luncheon menu is usually light, finger foods - here are our favorite menu ideas:

• Simply serve tea sandwiches - egg salad, tuna salad, chicken salad or smoked salmon/cream cheese are all great options...just remember to cut the crust off the bread. Another idea - mini croissant sandwiches filled with meat and cheese.
• Veggie platters are great for a luncheon. To make it easier for you, choose vegetables that do not need to be cut up - cherry tomatoes, baby carrots, broccoli florets... Serve a yummy dip like hummus or a creamy ranch dip.
• Fruit is a must - serve a variety of fresh fruit on a nice platter or make fruit kabobs. Choose the fruit that looks the best at the grocery store that day.
• Choose a fun salad to serve as well. Some good options are a crisp green, pasta, or caprese (cherry tomatoes, baby mozzarella balls, basil, and vinaigrette).
• Who doesn't love cheese? Try brie with a fruit preserve and a thin cracker to go along with it. Yummy!
• For dessert serve a fruit tart, pastries, or garden themed cupcakes.
• Now all you need is a refreshing drink to go along with all this tasty food! Excellent luncheon drinks are: iced tea/hot tea, lemonade, mimosas, or punch.

Now for the atmosphere of the luncheon...here are our favorite ideas:
• A good theme to have is garden, nature, or tea party. So it is best if held outside on a patio, or if you are lucky enough to have your own garden - set up a table in the garden. If weather isn't permitting, bring the outside in. Bring in potted flowers, flowers from the garden, and anything else to make it feel cheery! Decorate tables with a fancy floral tablecloth, use your best dishes, and have individual place settings and assigned seating to make it more formal.
• Flowers, flowers, flowers! Have freshly cut flowers in vases, potted flowers all around, and use flower petals to decorate table tops.

• For favors, let the guests take home potted flowers!
